Kūlia i Ka Nu'u is a three-day celebration in honor of Queen Kapi'olani, one of the last monarch residents at Pualeilani.
The event kicks off with a full day of workshops in the Kou Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa. The focus will be on Native Hawaiian Women's Health. We'll learn about our Mōʻī Wāhine who have dedicated their life's work to the betterment of Hawaiʻi's people from Auntie Zita Cup Choy. Hailama Farden will share about Queen Kapiʻolani - who she was and what she did for the people. Dr. Wade and Mrs. Lillian Lee will speak of the natural healing powers of Lā'au 'Ala (Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood). After lunch, Dr. Joana Magno will share her mana'o on women's health, focusing on kanaka maoli wāhine. Meleanna Meyer will share how we can experience healing through art.
