Hawaiian Music Perpetuation society is dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and perpetuation of mele Hawai'i 

Join us for our monthly KISCA music night featuring renowned local musicians at the Plumeria Beach House. Enjoy delicious Hawaiian dishes from our Paʻina Buffet as you listen to their beautiful melodies. A 4hr complimentary parking is provided. This performance is brought to you by The Kahala Initiative for Sustainability, Culture, and the Arts (KISCA). Seating starts at 5:30 PM. Music performance is from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

Waioli Kitchen & Bake Shop

Hawaiian Music Perpetuation Society presents an evening of music, food, and conversation at Waioli Kitchen & Bake Shop in honor of Mahina Olelo Hawaii.

Set in Manoa Valley, Waioli offers a warm and welcoming space for this special gathering featuring live mele and guest speaker Puakea Nogelmeier. Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully prepared culinary experience while reflecting on the power and importance of olelo Hawaii as a living language.

Join HMPS as we celebrate culture, community, and language through music, meaningful dialogue, and shared connection.

Join us at ʻIolani PalacE

Experience Iolani Palace like never before. Join us for a special tour featuring multiple Na Hoku Hanohano Award–winning artist and songwriter Kuuipo Kumukahi. Her live performance of mele Hawaii will take place in the Imprisonment Room of Hawaii’s last reigning monarch, Queen Liliuokalani—an intimate and powerful space where history and mele come together.

Waikiki by Moonlight invites visitors and the community to gather for a free, unforgettable celebration of Hawaiian music and hula at the Kuhio Beach Hula Mound. Featuring accomplished Hawaiian musicians and respected halau hula, this engaging program brings Waikiki’s stories to life through mele, movement, and moolelo that honor the place, its people, and its deep cultural roots. Set against the natural beauty of Waikiki and the sounds of the ocean, Waikiki by Moonlight offers an authentic cultural experience that connects audiences to the living traditions of Hawaii in one of its most iconic settings.

Join us at Kahala Hotel & Resort 

Hawaiian Cultural Experiences at Kahala Hotel & Resort
Join the Hawaiian Music Perpetuation Society twice a week for hands-on cultural activities. Create traditional designs with ʻohe kāpala (bamboo stamping), weave lei lāʻī (ti leaf lei), and learn simple phrases in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian language). Connect with the spirit of aloha and experience the traditions that make Hawaiʻi unique.
